Kris Ivanov
I am a student at a comprehensive school. I have got a diploma for completed secondary education. I am in 11th grade, and after graduating 12th, I will have fulfilled my first stage of tertiary education. There is a matter I must address. The names I have used for myself haven't been legally changed since I don't live in a supportive household and am still reliant on my parents, who do not support my identity. Therefore, I haven't used the names that all of my documentation is under.
I am a poet. I have been writing my first book of poems for the past two years. It is titled 'The Trails of A Cornboy'. I have recently begun writing my very first novel, whose title is still in development. Furthermore, I am an artist who creates portraits and sketches only using grey and black pencils. I wouldn't be able to survive if music didn't exist! I used to attend drumming lessons over the course of five years and had my own set of drums. Even though I haven't played the drums in a long while since mine had to be sold, I still possess the rhythmic pulse needed if a person aims to learn any instrument. But above all, it is safe to say that my biggest passion is acting, albeit I have only ever been able to pursue it through the practice of maladaptive daydreaming, giving life to all types of scenarios residing within my headspace. I have been longing to become a part of an acting crew, whose aspiring dedication and numerous efforts fuel the conjuring of remarkable stories priding uniqueness. As someone who identifies as transgender and genderqueer (my pronouns are he/him, but I do not mind they/them), I am aware of how imperative representation and voicing are for the LGBTQ+ community and I will gladly give everything up in order to contribute to their construction and the demolishing of the societal paradigms and shackles of the binary. It will be my honour and I will be perpetually grateful if I am provided with an opportunity to set off on my acting journey!
As listed previously, writing inevitably occurs on a day-to-day basis. Apart from drawing and listening to music, I am constantly on the lookout for new reads, I regularly go on bike rides, hike, weightlift, generally work out and walk my dogs. My observational skills come in handy whenever I watch movies and series so I could mark and take notes on how divergent emotions are portrayed. I generate scripts of a vast variety and practise remembering lines, which I then proceed to act out. I possess the essential communicative and social skills, I am a workaholic and I am profoundly ardent when it comes to acting!
I have participated in four Erasmus projects abroad -- in Arukas, Spain; in Alenquer, Portugal; in Rouen, France and in Dunkerque, France. I also took part in two Erasmus work meetings in my hometown in Bulgaria. The last project I worked on abroad (in Dunkerque, France) revolved around human rights and I was selected to be the plaintiff in the case of a transgender woman. I had previously prepared a pleading in French so as to present my client, which I did in an actual court in the presence of a local lawyer and a judge. I haven't had a real job yet so I can be considered inexperienced in that area too alongside acting but everyone has to start from somewhere. I am worth a shot!
