Othonas Metaxas was born in Athens, Greece. He completed his studies in Dramatic Arts at the National Theatre’s Drama School. He also studied music (guitar), singing and vocal methods with A. Vinos. He has starred over the years in plays produced by the National Theatre of Greece , the Theatre of Art and the Thessalian Theatre, where he collaborated with directors like B. Lesic, D. Chronopoulos, M. Reppas- Th. Papathanassiou, G. Iordanidis, S. Fasoulis, K. Damatis, E. Gavriilides, G. Sachinis, A. Vasiliev, P. Michaelides. He has performed in various movie productions such as: Black Out by M. Karamaghiolis, To Foustani by M. Vaxevani, Oneira Glyka by P. Pagoulatos, Che ne sara di noi by G. Veronesi, Miden Thetiko by A. Bufalouka, Wonderfilm by E. Ragaly, Afstiros Katallilo by Reppa-Papathanasiou, On the Night when Fernando Pessoa met Constantine Cavafy by S. Charalampopoulos. In theatre , he has recently played leading roles in: "The Gronholm Method" (Amiral Theatre), "Mia Ellada Theatro (Badminton Theatre), Kiria tis Nuhtas (Kivotos Theatre) by G. Marris, directed by F. Lytra. In 2006 and 2011 he lent his voice to the Greek rendition of the animation film “Happy Feet”, playing Mumble. Since 2014 his passion and fascination for music , has lead to various collaborations with acclaimed composers like Evanthia Reboutsika and Christos Nikolopoulos. Othonas has also taken part in concerts with the "Mikis Theodorakis" orchestra at ​The Odeon of Herodes Atticus ​, Badminton, etc. Since then he has performed in many musical scenes in Athens and Thesaloniki: Stavros tou Notou, PassPort-Keramikos, Stage Rhythmos, Avlea, Love Casual Living. Additionally, he played the lead role in the play "O Vaftistikos tis Kirias" by ​Maurice Hennequin, Pierre Veber and Henry de Gorsse which lasted for two consecutive years. Currently, he co-directed and played in the film “New Continent” directed by P. Pagoulatos.
