To a person who is not too familiar with the underside of the world of cinema, it may seem that cinema is present in the lives of stars, and only he is one. Surely, he will be very surprised if he finds out that many actors are very versatile personalities. They often receive additional education and academic degrees, and have a wide variety of hobbies. And they earn money not only by filming. Most often, this is the experience of already established, professional and highly paid actors who can afford not to run around casting and agree to part-time work in the form of voiceover cartoons or filming in a small episode.

Take, for example, the most famous and richest Chinese actor Jackie Chan, who was made famous by the “dream factory”. He receives multimillion-dollar fees for filming. And he invests a significant share of them in his personal business. Jackie Chan has several companies that produce a range of consumer goods — umbrellas, glasses, clothes, dishes, etc. Another area of activity of the actor is a whole network of his own cinemas in various cities of the Celestial Empire. We can rightfully say that Jackie Chan is talented in everything — both in art and in business.

There is an entrepreneurial streak in the legend of Hollywood — Robert De Niro. He chose the traditional sphere of business for many Hollywood “entrepreneurs” — restaurant. Branches of the restaurant chain called Nobu are scattered all over the world. The first of them was opened in New York in 1993, and chef Nobu Matsuhisa became De Niro's companion, after whom the institution was named. Things went well for them and in the following years Nobu restaurants opened in Melbourne and Beijing, London and Tokyo, Las Vegas and Moscow. The specialty of restaurants is Japanese cuisine in its new “vision" from Nobu Matsuhisa.

But Robert De Niro did not settle down on gastronomy and, together with other partners, also mastered the niche of the hotel business and opened three hotels in the UK and Spain. He did not change the name — the hotels are also called Nobu.

Not only American actors tend to express themselves in the business sphere. The same direction in business, like Robert De Niro, was chosen by Til Schweiger. In 2017, on the Baltic Sea coast, in the community of Timmendorfer-Strand, the famous German actor and director opened a hotel called Barefoot. The institution received this name in honor of one of his films “Barefoot on the pavement”. Schweiger also has his own restaurant in Hamburg.

The beautiful Sandra Bullock, the winner of the Academy Award, is inundated with offers for filming from directors and producers. Employment in the profession, however, does not prevent her from devoting time to her own company — Walton's Fancy and Staple. This label hides a flower shop, a small bakery and a cafe. And friends and relatives help the actress to manage the enterprise.

Ashton Kutcher is not only one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood, but also one of the most successful investors in the world. His interests focus on companies such as Skype, Meerkat, Genius, Spotify, Uber and many others. Kutcher invests heavily in startups, helps promising, in his opinion, enterprises to look for other investors. In this activity, the actor is more than successful. Having started investing, he increased his fortune five times in just one year!

Hugh Jackman, the famous ”Wolverine", was attracted not just by the hotel business, but also by its compliance with environmental standards. Jackman purchased an eco-style resort in Australia, where high-quality services are provided to guests. They can practice yoga and meditation, swim in the ocean and dance — in complete unity with nature.
